(TCAP1A)UNDP | 2024–2026

Funded by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand, TCAP-II scales up climate-resilient coastal protection along the southern lagoon shoreline of Fogafale Island — home to around half of Tuvalu's 12,000 people. The project protects 800 metres of vulnerable capital shoreline and reclaims approximately eight hectares of new, safe, raised land.

Intercoastal was engaged by UNDP to undertake the concept and detailed design of the reclamation and to ensure timely, standards-compliant implementation under UNDP environmental and safeguards frameworks. We continue to provide contract management and construction supervision across major dredging, reclamation and coastal structure construction.
