(TCAP1B)UNDP | 2025–2027

TCAP1B is the next chapter in one of the Pacific's flagship climate adaptation programs. Building directly on the success of the TCAP1A design, the project will deliver a further 4–5 hectares of raised, flood-free reclaimed land along the northern section of Fogafale's central lagoon shoreline — protecting an estimated 465 metres of densely populated foreshore in Tuvalu's capital from storm waves, erosion and inundation intensified by sea level rise.

Engaged by the United Nations Development Programme, Intercoastal is delivering the concept and detailed design of the reclamation and coastal protection, ensuring implementation meets international standards while adhering to UNDP environmental and safeguards practice. Our role extends through contract management and construction supervision of major dredging, reclamation and coastal structure works — seeing the design through to delivery on the ground.
