Climate Resilient Investment Pathways in the Pacific

ADB, TA-6683 REG | 2024–2025

Drawing on deep experience across Tuvalu and other Small Island Developing States, Intercoastal provided technical assistance to the ADB for the initial scoping of further climate adaptation coastal measures in Tuvalu, including a comprehensive review of the country's land reclamation programs — the data, pre- and post-construction studies, construction activities, monitoring, capacity building and community engagement — capturing the lessons learned to inform future investment.

The engagement also delivered initial scoping for a Kiribati land reclamation program, and included Climate Risk Vulnerability Assessments (CRVA) spanning Funafuti, Kiribati, Tonga and Nauru — helping shape ADB engagement with some of the world's most climate-exposed nations.
